झारखंड के गोड्डा विधानसभा सीट से बीजेपी विधायक अमित मंडल पर तिलकामांझी थानाक्षेत्र स्थित उनके आवास के समीप देर शाम कुछ लोगों ने जानलेवा हमला कर जख्मी कर दिया,हमलावरों ने ईंट-पत्थर से अचानक भाजपा विधायक पर हमला बोल दिया, इस दौरान उनकी हाथ के अलावा छाती, पेट और पैर में भी चोटें आई हैं, विधायक अमित मंडल ने बताया कि इससे पूर्व भी उनको गोड्डा मैं जान मारने की धमकी मिल चुकी थी साथ ही उन्हें उनके मोबाइल फोन पर भी अज्ञात लोगों के द्वारा कॉल कर धमकी दी गई थी,और हमले को नाकाम बनाने के लिए अंगरक्षकों ने खूब प्रयास किया, उनके सजग होने के बाद हमलावर भाग खड़े हुए,घटना की जानकारी पर तिलकामांझी थानाध्यक्ष राज रतन मौके पर पहुंच घटना की छानबीन शुरू कर दी है, जख्मी विधायक का प्राथमिक उपचार कराया गया है, इधर घटना की जानकारी पर काफी संख्या में विधायक के समर्थक उनके आवास पर जुट गए हैं|

विधायक पर तब हमला हुआ जब वह अपने आवासीय परिसर के गलियारे में टहल रहे थे, विधायक ने घटना की जानकारी बाद मौके पर पहुंचे सिटी एएसपी शुभम आर्या को बताया कि कुछ लड़कों ने पत्थर से हमला कर दिया,विधायक की हाथ मे जख्म लगा है, हमलावरों ने ईंट-पत्थर से अचानक हमला बोल दिया। इस दौरान उनकी हाथ के अलावा छाती, पेट और पैर में भी चोटें आई हैं,घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही चंद मिनट में पूरा पुलिस महकमा हरकत में आते हुए मौके पर पहुंच छानबीन शुरू कर दी, इधर घटना की जानकारी पर काफी संख्या में विधायक के समर्थक उनके आवास पर जुट गए हैं। हमले को लेकर सीसी कैमरे की फुटेज का अवलोकन कर पुलिस हमलावरों की तलाश में दबिश दे रही है। घटना को लेकर विधायक के स्थानीय समर्थकों में काफी रोष देखा जा रहा है,विधायक पर हुए हमले के बाद से इलाके में सनसनी का माहौल है। वहीं, उन्हें बेहतर इलाज के लिए अस्पताल ले जाया गया है। पुलिस आस पड़ोस के लोगों से पूछताछ कर रही है। इसके साथ ही सीसीटीवी फुटेज भी खंगाले जा रहे हैं|
