कहा गया है प्यार करने वाले कभी डरते नहीं, जो डरते हैं वह प्यार करते नहीं , ऐसा ही कुछ वाक्या भागलपुर में देखने को मिला है, यह कहानी किसी फिल्म की कहानी से कम नहीं , क्योंकि इनके प्यार में कई ट्विस्ट आए ,पहले प्यार ,फिर धोखा ,फिर प्यार के लिए प्रेमिका प्रेमी से मिलने के लिए कई हदें पार कर जाती है और अंत में प्यार की जीत होती है और महिला थाना में दोनों प्रेमी प्रेमिका ने एक साथ जीने मरने की कसमें खाई और प्रेमी ने प्रेमिका के मांग में सिंदूर भरा

सुनने में तो यह प्रेम कहानी बेहद ही सरल है लेकिन कहानी काफी जोरदार है। देर रात भागलपुर के महिला थाना में घंटों चले हाई वोल्टेज ड्रामे का पटाक्षेप हो गया और भागलपुर एकचारी टपुआ थाना का रहने वाला रुदल पासवान का बेटा मनोज कुमार उर्फ गौरव कुमार जो वर्तमान में मुजफ्फरपुर में सब इंस्पेक्टर के पद पर कार्यरत हैं , उन्होंने उसी गांव की रहने वाली जमुनी मंडल की 20 वर्षीय बेटी वंदना कुमारी से संविधान निर्माता डॉ भीमराव अंबेडकर की तस्वीर को साक्षी मानकर शादी कर ली, दोनों जन्म जन्मांतर के लिए एक हो गए|

एक तरफ जहां थाने की महिला पुलिस ने ही प्रेमिका को दुल्हन की तरह सजाया और दूसरी तरफ sc-st थाने की पुलिस ने प्रेमी को दूल्हे की तरह सहरा पहनाया और दोनों ने बाबा साहब डॉक्टर भीमराव अंबेडकर को साक्षी मानकर उनसे आशीर्वाद लेकर प्रेमी ने प्रेमिका के मांग में सिंदूर भरा और जन्म जन्मांतर के लिए एक हो गए |

वही महिला थाना पुलिस और sc-st पुलिस के जितने भी जवान थे सबों ने वर वधू को आशीर्वाद दिया और शगुन के तौर पर दुल्हन को पैसे भी दिए गए, चारों तरफ खुशी का माहौल था मिठाइयां बांटी गई लोग एक दूसरे को मिठाई खिलाकर इस शादी का जश्न मनाया।
यह प्यार का सफर इतना आसान नहीं था, इस मंजिल तक दोनों प्रेमी प्रेमिका को पहुंचने में काफी कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ा, गौरतलब हो कि प्रेमिका वंदना कुमारी 16 वर्ष की जब थी तब से उसे मनोज से प्यार हो गया था और प्यार इतना हद तक बढ़ गया कि दोनों शारीरिक संबंध तक बनाना शुरू कर दिए फिर लड़के की नौकरी हो गई और वह लड़की से शादी करने से इनकार कर दिया|

लड़की अपने प्यार को पाने के लिए हर जगह मिन्नते करने लगी यहां तक कि वरीय पुलिस अधीक्षक ,पुलिस अधीक्षक के कार्यालय के चक्कर काटने लगी और कई मीडिया में इसकी खबरें प्रकाशित होनी शुरू हो गई इसकी चर्चा प्रशासनिक खेमे में भी जोर शोर से होने लगी और अंततः प्रेमी को झुकना पड़ा और प्रेमिका की जीत हुई |

आज दोनों ने एक साथ जीने मरने की कसमें खाई और डॉक्टर भीमराव अंबेडकर को साक्षी मानकर भागलपुर के महिला थाने में प्रेमी ने प्रेमिका के मांग में सिंदूर भरा। जबकि दोनों ने अंतरजातीय विवाह किया एक की जाति पासवान और दूसरे की जाति मंडल है समाज की अवधारणा बदलने के लिए दोनों ने थाने में बिना दान दहेज के अंतरजातीय विवाह किया।
